Bijli Mahadev Trek

Day 1: Jana The starting point of the trek and the old capital of Kullu Manali, Nagar is just 21 kms away. To reach the village Nashala you need to take a nature road that leads through beautiful Deodar forests. Then walk gradually for about for 4 to 5 hours and reach the destination of the day, village Jana.
Day 2: Jana - Matikochar A well built road leads to Matikochar where one can view the very lovely Kullu valley and the surrounding snow-clad peaks. The lights of the Kullu town can be viewed from the camp.
Day 3: Matikochor - Bijli Mahadev Walk gradually through the Kais wildlife sanctuary that leads to a temple of Lord Shiva. The twin valleys of river Beas and Parvati can be seen from the camp at Bijlimahadev.
Day 4: Bijlimahadev - Jari It takes about 3 hours to go down to the village Sharsari from where you can take a bus / jeep to Jari.
Day 5: Jari - Malana To reach Malana village, walk through deep forest along a river and then over high cliffs. This is a unique place which has retained its own democratic system of government for many centuries. Camp near the village.
Day 6: Malana - Chandrakhani Pass - Nawa Tapru Climb up to 3 hours to reach Chandrakhani pass, at the top of the flower valley. Then the way goes down gradually to Nawa Tapru which is a beautiful grassland.
Day 7: Nawa Tapru - Naggar - Manali The path leads down to Naggar through grasslands and forests. One can have a look at the Rumsu village, the Roerich Art Gallery and Naggar Castle on the way. Drive back to Manali from Naggar bus / jeep.
